Sara & Hannah // Glass House

Sara and Hannah met on a dating app in 2020, when the pandemic made meeting people in real life nearly impossible. Their first date was delayed thanks to a COVID scare, but when they finally met at the Hideaway at Saint Anthony Main, Hannah promised a great view of the Minneapolis skyline… Then promptly sat in the seat facing it, leaving Sara with a brick wall. Luckily, Sara recovered the moment by charmingly insisting she had the best view by facing Hannah. After drinks, they wandered along the river, where a photographer snapped a few photos - one of which later made a surprise appearance in a locket Sara gifted Hannah on their wedding day.

Pandemic life quickly turned them into each other’s entire world, and what started as dating soon felt like a full-on partnership. They moved in together, built a home in St. Louis Park with their two cats, and proved they made a pretty great team. When it came time to propose, Sara went all out. She created an elaborate fake “work party” and, on the way, detoured to an art studio where she then proposed. The proposal wasn’t the only surprise - turns out, the “work party” was actually an engagement party filled with all of their family and friends!

Their wedding planning followed the same “go big or go home” energy. What started as a greenery vision turned into (after our decor discussion revealed that citrus could also be cost-effective) a bold, citrus-filled celebration that perfectly matched their personalities, complete with a pickleball tournament in lieu of a rehearsal dinner. On the big day, they ditched tradition in favor of spending every moment together, even getting ready together. The relaxed ceremony, colorful design, great food, espresso martinis, and packed dance floor contributed to a wedding celebration that felt fun, vibrant, and completely them. And to cap it all off - a honeymoon full of adventure in Iceland.
