Paikka // Joe & Adam

These two gents are two of the nicest {and funniest} guys you will ever meet so it is no surprise that we had an amazing time planning and personalizing Adam and Joe's celebration! We made sure to incorporate as many special details as possible that were exclusively about the couple. A surprising {and unexpected} detail from their wedding was the penguin ampersand on their invitation suite, which happens to be an Adam's favorite.  Typically with couples, flowers are a popular design element, however, Joe and Adam were looking for a more masculine feel, so we utilized bold greenery and plants instead.  There was not one flower! The design of the sliding doors provided the color palette inspiration. We included a few linens and custom runners to soften the space and otherwise used copper top tables to add that masculine touch. The couple wanted a non-traditional atmosphere, so food trucks and food stations were brought in to keep guests moving around and mingling. In place of cake we brought in Tina Rexing, owner of T-Rex Cookie, who modeled up her best "Betty Crocker" impression and personally served the cookies. T-Rex Cookies has long been a favorite farmer's market find of Joe and Adam's. For a late-night snack, the guys were looking for something crisp and flavorful {and with Adam's fancy for bagels} it was a quick decision to source bagels from Rise Bagel Co. The bagels were then displayed on a sandwich board custom made by the grooms.

From the heartfelt, emotional and hilarious ceremony to the final goodbyes, every moment was perfect! Check out the images below of Adam and Joe's special day!
