an Indian wedding. or, as one of our couples put it, “a wedding.”

During his wedding speech, one of our grooms referred to the weekend as “our Indian wedding or, as we like to call it, a wedding.”

That stuck with us because it perfectly captures how we think about the celebrations we plan.

Your wedding doesn’t need to fit neatly into a category. It can include a baraat and a first look. A mandap and a modern floral installation. Multiple days of celebration or one really incredible one. You can honor every tradition that matters to your family, reinterpret some, and leave others behind.

It doesn’t need to look like an “Indian wedding.”

It needs to look like your wedding.

At Style-Architects Weddings, we plan and design weddings that incorporate Indian traditions, as well as fusion and multicultural celebrations that bring different cultures, families and traditions together. We love the color, the energy, the food, the fashion, the rituals and, of course, the dancing. But we don’t believe any of those things dictate what your wedding should look like.

Maybe you’re blending two cultures and trying to figure out how a baraat, Western ceremony, sangeet, Champagne toast, Indian dinner and packed dance floor all fit together.

Maybe you both come from Indian families, but the wedding aesthetic you’ve seen a hundred times simply isn’t you.

Or maybe you love certain traditions and want to honor them while approaching everything else from an entirely different design perspective.

That’s our sweet spot.

familiar with the traditions. focused on yours.

Our connection to Indian weddings is professional, but it’s personal, too.

Rachelle’s husband was raised in India, and Indian culture has been part of her family life for decades. Anna is Rachelle’s daughter-in-law and part of that same multicultural family. Along with years of planning and designing multicultural and fusion weddings, both have traveled to India and bring a genuine familiarity with many of the traditions, family dynamics, and cultural nuances that can be part of these celebrations.

That familiarity matters. But it doesn’t mean we presume to know what your wedding should be.

Indian families, cultures and wedding traditions are incredibly diverse. So we ask. We listen. We learn what matters to you and your families and then we design around it.

For some couples, honoring generations of tradition is incredibly important. For others, the goal is to choose a handful of meaningful customs and make everything around them feel completely unexpected. And when two cultures are coming together, we thoughtfully consider how both can be represented without either feeling like an add-on.

The result might feel unmistakably Indian. It might feel distinctly multicultural. It might be difficult to categorize at all.

We think that’s a good thing.

Because we’re not interested in giving you our version of an Indian wedding.

We’re interested in designing your version of a wedding.

Call it Indian. Call it fusion. Call it multicultural.

We just want it to feel unmistakably yours.

Because we’re not just wedding planners. We’re wedding designers.

We look beyond the logistics of your events and think about the entire experience: how each celebration should feel, how one event flows into the next, and how color, floral, lighting, textiles, paper, furniture and unexpected details can tell one cohesive story.

Our approach isn’t about recreating what has been done before or starting with a formula for what a traditional wedding is supposed to look like. We take the traditions that are meaningful to you and your families and layer them with your personal style.

Sometimes that means saturated color and modern shapes. Sometimes it’s an unexpected palette, contemporary florals or a mandap that feels more like an art installation. Sometimes it’s mixing traditional elements with decidedly nontraditional ones. And sometimes the best design decision is knowing when to let a beautiful tradition stand entirely on its own.

We understand that honoring tradition and having incredible design are not mutually exclusive.

you might be our kind of couple if...

  • You want to honor your culture without feeling confined by it.

  • You love the energy and traditions of an Indian wedding, but want the design to feel more editorial, modern, unexpected - or simply more you.

  • You're blending cultures and want both to feel thoughtfully represented rather than trying to fit two completely different weddings into one weekend.

  • You care just as much about how your wedding looks and feels as how seamlessly it runs.

  • You're looking for someone who understands the logistics and traditions of an Indian wedding but brings the eye of a wedding designer to the table.
