Stylish Person: Wing Ta

We think it is about time we introduce you all to our friend {and office mate} Wing Ta. Not only is Wing the talented photographer behind Canary Grey Photography, but the girl is the epitome of style! She has had the pleasure of shooting a variety of subjects: large local weddings and intimate, but elaborate destination weddings; lovely maternity shoots and sweet newborns; editorial product shoots and trendy boutique look books. All of which showcase her clean, crisp and chic aesthetic. We just know you'll love her as much as we do! What adds pep to your step? A fine meal…both dining out & cooking! Having grown up (& working) in my family's restaurant, my love for all things culinary runs deep.

How would you describe your personal style? Uncomplicated and fun. I really like the juxtaposition of different styles and patterns together. The key is to feel great in whatever you wear…and never under estimate a statement accessory!

What do you never leave the house without? My iPhone and some sort of lip treatment- gloss, lipstick, etc. I'm guilty of owning too many products.

What is your favorite hangout in the Twin Cities? I honestly can't pick just one. The shops & eateries I frequent the most are located in the North loop and Northeast Minneapolis. I adore those neighborhoods.

Where do you go for inspiration? I gain inspiration everywhere I go. As evident on my instagram feed, I snap and share things (almost daily) that inspire me.

How did you get into photography? I've always had a passion for all things creative. Despite years of being on stage and countless sketchbooks, I found my medium of choice to be photography and immersed myself in it. Life is too short to not do what you love. I followed my heart and eventually turned this passion into a full time business.

What is your favorite part of your career? I'm incredibly grateful for all the amazing people that have come into my life since starting my business. I love to equally tell their amazing story through my lens.
