Lafayette Country Club // Kami & David

With just over four months until their wedding, these busy parents realized they needed to either push back the wedding date or hire a wedding planner.  Kami and David were engaged for months before reaching out to us to become a full service client, yet the only decision they had made was selecting Lafayette Country Club as the reception venue.  It was understandable - they have five kids between them!  It became clear when we met that the couple wanted their children to be a big part of the day, so we helped orchestrate the best ways to include them to be sure they were forefront on this special day.  Kami's son walked her down the aisle while David's son sang "Marry Me" by Train as an interlude during the ceremony.  The kids made up the wedding party and for the grand march they were all announced to "Let's Get Ready to Rumble" with a fun script to poke fun at each child.  Then together the family danced to "We Are Family" as the first dance.  "Kid-approved" mini burgers, mini hotdogs and fries were served as the late night snack.

Wedding planning isn't just about picking out linens and florals, it's about relaying a message to your guests.  We are so pleased with how this family-first wedding turned out for Kami and David!
